Community Guidelines

CandidateVoice works because people tell the truth. These guidelines exist to keep this a space worth trusting.

1. The Purpose of This Platform

  • Give job seekers honest, firsthand information about what it is actually like to apply to an organization.
  • Every review represents a real person's time, energy, and experience.
  • Not a place to settle scores or burn bridges; a place to share what happened so the next candidate can walk in prepared—or choose to walk away.

Key Standard: The standard for a good review is not whether the outcome was positive. It is whether the information is accurate, specific, and useful to someone who has not applied yet.

2. What We Encourage (What Makes a Great Review)

  • Describe the application process — what was required, how long it took, what communication looked like.
  • Note whether salary was disclosed upfront and whether timelines were communicated clearly.
  • Share your honest experience with the outcome — ghosted, formally rejected, still waiting, interviewing, or hired.
  • Mention friction points like essay responses, take-home assignments, and resume re-entry requirements.
  • Include context that helps other candidates make an informed decision.
  • Update your review if the outcome changes — we support that.

3. What We Don't Allow (What Will Get a Review Removed)

  • Naming individual employees, recruiters, or hiring managers — this is about the organization, not the person.
  • Unverifiable claims about discrimination, fraud, or illegal conduct — if that happened, contact an attorney or the EEOC.
  • Content that appears fabricated or submitted in coordination to inflate or damage a company's rating.
  • Personal attacks, profanity directed at individuals, or content designed to harass.
  • Confidential information — do not share proprietary interview questions, internal documents, or anything covered by an NDA.
  • Reviews submitted by current employees about their own employer's hiring process without disclosing that relationship.

4. Anonymity and Privacy

  • All reviews are anonymous. We do not display your name, email, or any identifying information publicly.
  • Email addresses are used only to allow users to update their own review — never shared, sold, or displayed.
  • Please extend the same courtesy to others: focus on systems and behavior, not individuals.

5. Moderation & Dispute Process

  • Every review is moderated before it goes live for accuracy of format, completeness, and guideline compliance.
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate guidelines, are reported inaccurate by multiple parties, or are part of coordinated manipulation campaigns.

Dispute contact. If you believe a review about your organization is inaccurate or violates these guidelines, contact us at contact@candidate-voice.com for investigation.

6. A Note on Tone

  • Job search frustration is valid — ghosting after multiple rounds, arbitrary radius rejections, lengthy essay assignments.
  • Frame that frustration into utility: write so a stranger reading six months from now finds it useful, calm, and undeniably true.
